Who is the data controller
The controller of personal data collected through this website is Giacomo Bosio, as a private individual. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, write to privacy@giacomobosio.com.
What data is processed
Browsing data. Like any website, the server hosting giacomobosio.com automatically logs some technical data on every visit: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, browser and operating system. This data is used only to run the website, keep it secure and detect abuse. I do not use it to profile you and I do not combine it with other data.
Booking a call. If you use the "Book a call" link, you are taken to the external service YouCanBook.me, where you enter the details needed to schedule the meeting (for example name, email and any notes). I use this data only to organise and hold the meeting and for any follow-up.
This website has no contact forms, newsletters or private areas, and collects no other data.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use profiling or analytics cookies, nor any tracking or advertising tools. Fonts, icons and almost all images are hosted directly on giacomobosio.com. That is why there is no cookie consent banner.
Footer badges. Two badges (IAAP and IWA) are displayed by loading them directly from the servers of Credly (images.credly.com) and IWA (www.iwa.it). To show them, your browser sends those servers your IP address and the technical details of the request (for example your browser type), but not the address of the page you are viewing. I do not receive or use this data. Credly's servers may be located outside the European Union; the privacy policies of Credly (opens in new tab) and IWA (opens in new tab) apply.
Links to social profiles (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, X, GitHub) and other websites are plain links: they load nothing until you open them. Once on the destination site, its own privacy policy applies.
Why data is processed (legal bases)
- Browsing data: legitimate interest in keeping the website working and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Booking data: your request to schedule a meeting, i.e. pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Who else processes the data
- IONOS SE (Germany), the website's hosting provider, which keeps the technical logs on my behalf as a data processor, on servers in the European Union.
- YouCanBook.me, for bookings only. You can read its privacy policy on the YouCanBook.me website (opens in new tab).
I do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
How long data is kept
Technical logs are kept for the period set by IONOS for security and maintenance of the service. Booking data is kept for as long as needed to manage the meeting and any follow-up, and then deleted.
Your rights
Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR you can ask at any time to:
- know whether I process data about you and receive a copy (access);
- correct or update it (rectification);
- have it deleted (erasure);
- restrict or object to its processing;
- receive it in a machine-readable format (portability).
To do so, write to privacy@giacomobosio.com. If you believe your data is not being processed correctly you can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (opens in new tab), or with the supervisory authority of your country.
